About Game Hosting Guides
Game Hosting Guides publishes independent, in-depth reviews of Minecraft and game server hosting providers. Every review is written after hands-on research into the provider’s plans, infrastructure, support quality, and real-world performance.
The editor
Reviews and guides on this site are written and maintained by Wild Nature, who runs the Game Hosting Guides YouTube channel and has been running Minecraft servers since 2014 — from 4-player vanilla survival up to modpack networks with hundreds of concurrent players. The editorial perspective is “what would I actually pay for myself” rather than “which provider has the best affiliate payout.”
How we review
Each provider is evaluated on the same criteria:
- Performance — CPU model, dedicated vs shared cores, RAM allocation, NVMe storage, network throughput.
- Pricing — entry-level cost per GB of RAM, contract terms, hidden fees, refund policy.
- Features — modpack support, plugin manager, one-click installs, backups, DDoS protection, sub-users.
- Locations — datacenter regions and how they map to player latency.
- Support — response time, channel coverage (ticket / live chat / Discord), and depth of technical answers.
Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links to hosting providers may be affiliate links. We earn a commission if you sign up via those links at no additional cost to you. Affiliate status never affects which providers we cover or the scores we give them. Several providers in our comparisons have no affiliate relationship with us and are included purely on merit.
